in shanghai, the plane trees that line the old french concession are called 梧桐, wutong. london’s streets are lined with plane trees too, and each leaf opens like a hand.

the name begins with 吴, wu, the family name behind the label, and the leaves fall just as it turns cold enough for gloves.

we make handmade gloves in nappa leather, suede and calf hair, in small runs of each colour, all in size 7.

不来也不去: leaves come and go, and the tree stays.

size 7

every pair of wutong gloves is a women’s size 7, which fits most women’s hands. glove sizes follow the measurement around your hand in inches, so a size 7 fits a hand of:

leather gives a little and moulds to your hand after a few wears, so a size 7 should feel snug at first, not tight.

how to measure your hand

  1. wrap a soft tape measure around your dominant hand, across the knuckles, just below the fingers, leaving out the thumb.
  2. keep your hand flat and relaxed, and read the measurement where the tape meets.
  3. compare it with the size 7 measurements above.

if they don’t fit
