in shanghai, the plane trees that line the old french concession are called 梧桐, wutong. london’s streets are lined with plane trees too, and each leaf opens like a hand.

the name begins with 吴, wu, the family name behind the label, and the leaves fall just as it turns cold enough for gloves.

we make handmade gloves in nappa leather, suede and calf hair, in small runs of each colour, all in size 7.

不来也不去: leaves come and go, and the tree stays.

how do the two python-print pairs differ?

the cut is the same: suede, the python printed across the back of the hand, a slim leather binding at the wrist. the python is printed onto suede, not real.

- *005, plum:* for the one who wears grey, navy and black, and likes one colour against it.

- *006, brown:* for the one who wears camel, cream and denim. from a few feet away it reads as plain brown.
